About the artist

Ed Fornieles (b. 1983) is an interdisciplinary artist based in London. Fornieles uses film, social media platforms, sculpture, installation and performance to express the interaction of family, relationships, popular memes, language and the subcultures of the 21st century. His work operates within immersive simulations, which construct and enact alternative political and social spaces. His projects often involve cultural, social, and infrastructural production. 

His work has been featured as part of group exhibitions at Somerset House, London (2024); Centre Pompidou-Metz, Metz (2023); David Kordansky Gallery, Los Angeles (2022); and Multimedia Art Museum (MAMM), Moscow (2021) among others. Ed Fornieles is represented by Carlos/Ishikawa.
