Photograph of a watercolour by Henry Edward Tidmarsh wash and bodycolour. 85 x 176 mm. Guildhall Library W2/TRA 98272. The Turner room was moved in March/April 1884 to "one of the public rooms at the extreme west of the Gallery" (see Board Minutes 18 Mar 1884 and 4 Apr 1884) viz to Room I (8) shown here. Behind the copyist on the left is perhaps Turner's 'Richmond Hill on the Prince Regent's Birthday' (NG502, Tate N00502); extreme top right is perhaps Turner's 'Childe Harold's pilgrimage' (NG516, Tate N00516).
