Articulation

Our nationally acclaimed public speaking initiative for young people aged between 14 and 23, designed to promote the appreciation and discussion of visual culture

About

Articulation engages young people aged between 14 and 23, regardless of background or experience, with art and develops their confidence and ability to express their opinions, thoughts and conclusions.

A programme of activities takes place nationally and, increasingly internationally.

Projects: Start Talking

Start Talking is a three‐year project, delivered in partnership with MK Gallery and Waddesdon Manor, and supported by the Rothschild Foundation.

Articulation is working closely with five state schools in Buckinghamshire, over a three‐year period to build confidence in pupils’ oracy and public speaking skills. We are using the visual arts as a tool for critical thinking and analysis. As part of the project, we are delivering Teachers’ CPD days, focus groups, in‐school sessions, and Discovery Days.
