The National Gallery Archive is open by appointment Tuesday to Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please complete and send this appointment request form. A member of staff will confirm your appointment details by email within 10 working days.

Please note that we are closed to visitors while building works are undertaken on our new and enlarged Research Centre. We aim to offer a limited service in temporary accommodation later in 2026 and to reopen fully in 2028.

During the period of closure, we will maintain an enquiry service via [email protected]. Our catalogues and digital resources remain available online at https://www.nationalgallery.org.uk/research/library-and-archive.
