The theatre was built as part of the Sainsbury Wing, which opened in 1991. It is used to host a wide range of events including lectures, screenings, conferences and private events.

Access
The theatre has capacity for an audience of around 300 people. You can access the theatre using a lift from all levels in the Sainsbury Wing.
