The National Gallery: Masterpieces of Painting
'The National Gallery: Masterpieces of Painting' showcases over 275 of the Gallery’s most treasured pictures, including some outstanding recent acquisitions. Each work is richly illustrated and accompanied by a concise, illuminating text.
This Bicentenary collector’s edition has a bespoke presentation box, handmade by specialist manufacturers in the UK. Details from Redon’s 'Ophelia among the Flowers' around the edges of the box contrast with the teal-coloured linen, while inside, beautiful images of Raphael’s 'Saint Catherine of Alexandria' and Bosschaert the Elder's 'Still Life of Flowers in a Wan-Li Vase' are revealed.
Each volume includes a book plate individually numbered and signed by the Director, Dr Gabriele Finaldi, who has also written a special foreword to commemorate the occasion.
'The National Gallery: Masterpieces of Painting' is priced at £200 and is not yet on sale to the public. Your ticket purchase will include your 10% Member discount on the book.
