About

Join Aliki Braine to reflect on ‘The Last Caravaggio’ in the final days of this exhibition.

Caravaggio was known for striking works with dramatic lighting and cropped scenes. He depicted gritty realistic details like dirt under fingernails. These techniques shine in the paintings of ‘The Last Caravaggio’, featuring the stories of Saint Ursula and Saint Jerome.

Art historian Aliki Braine leads this reflective session. We will consider the themes of the exhibition, your own experiences, and take this final opportunity to examine the last paintings made by Caravaggio before his early death.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions and share your own reflections at this online Members’ talk.
