Copy record of a letter from [D. Herbert Ogden] to Charles Gerald Agnew, relaying information provided by Colin Agnew on the potential purchase of nine paintings at Petworth House from Lord Leconfield, through the intermediary Captain Hanbury. Arthur Joseph Sulley has agreed with Colin Agnew to share in the purchase and initially finance it in total and Hanbury has been authorised to make an offer price, given in code. Hanbury will receive a commission and a possible bonus on the paintings' sale.
