Letter from Maurice Macmillan to Lord Carlisle

Relating to Poynter's suggestion that the National Gallery should be granted permission to acquire land nearby including the site of Hampton's. Macmillan questions the value of this land to the National Gallery and draws attention to the high cost of purchasing Hampton's.
