Forwarding an application for permission to work at the Gallery on Sundays. Also advising that Mr Scharf [Director of the National Portrait Gallery] has inspected ‘The House of Commons in 1793’ [in the National Portrait Gallery and by Karl Anton Hickel, NPG745] and that the blinds in the room which the picture is hung are drawn during periods of sunshine by the police constable on duty there
