Letter from Charles Eastlake to R.N. Wornum

Date 4 Jul 1859

From 7 Fitzroy Square: Eastlake has received the 14 pictures from the Bell bequest (NG603-4, 606-8, 610-11, 613-14, 616-20). Others are to come. The fourteen pictures are being stored at Marlborough House. Details regarding fittings and hanging. The staircase to be inspected. Bought nothing at the Phipps sale at Christie's although wanted to buy the Elsheimer and de Witte. Eastlake wants to view the Northwick pictures which will be sold in Cheltenham.
