Copy of an extract of the Will of Charles John, Earl of Blesinton dated 31 August 1823. He expresses the wish that his name "may be affixed to the said picture as an encouragement to others to contribute to the said collection" (the Gallery was not founded until 1824 and so this bequest was made "to the National Gallery intended to be formed in London under Royal Protection").
