Cutting from The Times letters page criticizing decision to purchase the Goya, with response from Neil Maclaren presented as a press release. Board minutes and notes on arrangements for the acquisition and whether the portrait should be acquired by the National or Portrait Gallery. Copy of a Parliamentary question and answer on the subject of a government grant of £40,000 towards the total cost for the portrait, which was £140,000.
