Correspondence with the Trustee Department, Westminster Bank Ltd re the bequest of M.W. Jacobson and difficulties encountered in the recovery and identification of works listed in the latter's will. Also includes correspondence with Lord Bearsted and René Huyghe of the Louvre re the 'Cleopatra' of the Fontainebleu School and the Louvre's agreement to rescind their legal right to purchase Jacobson's effects in order that the NG could accept the work as part of the bequest. Includes a photograph of the Cleopatra in addition to photographs of the Rembrandt portrait and the Primitive 'Christ, the Virgin Mary and St John' [both declined]
