Decorating the floor of the National Gallery's grand Entrance Hall are a host of colourful mosaics.
Created between 1928 and 1952 by artist Boris Anrep, they represent some of the Gallery’s most contemporary artworks. Looking down, you might even spot some familiar faces!
So how did the thoroughly modern Anrep mosaics come to be installed here at the National Gallery? In this short film, join Annabel Bai Jackson, Dorset Curatorial Fellow for Modern and Contemporary Projects, as she takes a closer look at these beautiful works of art found right beneath your feet.
