This catalogue presents a total of 85 works, including masterpieces of the Gallery’s 16th-century Netherlandish collection (such as Bosch’s Christ Mocked, the Adoration of the Kings by Pieter Bruegel the Elder and the Four Elements by Joachim Beuckelaer).

The small number of 16th-century French works includes two paintings by the Master of Saint Giles, and the Meeting at the Golden Gate by the Master of Moulins and his workshop.

Full catalogue entries for seven works by Gossaert were published here to coincide with the exhibition Jan Gossaert’s Renaissance.
