Poynter informs Fairfax Murray in confidence about the possibility of a picture by Pisanello ['The Vision of Saint Eustace'(NG1436)] coming on to the market. He would like to consult him about the upcoming sale of Sir Charles Eastlake's pictures at Christie's [2 June 1894] as there are several, including lot 71'the little Ercole Grandi' [Ercole de' Roberti, 'The Adoration of the Shepherds'(NG1411.1)], that he would like to acquire for the Gallery.
