Description
This copy was most likely intended for the attention of Harold Isherwood Kay and includes annotations in pencil and ink by G. H. A Cantopher. The letter addresses the origin of the canvas used for Cantopher's painting of Philippe Égalité. Cantopher has found out that the stamp on the back dates the canvas after 1800, but suggests the possibility that the painting might have been repaired at a later point to its original execution.
