Description
Three letters from Julius von Hoevel, one addressed to Sir Frederic Burton and the others to the Secretary, offering for sale a painting of 'The Mystic Marriage of St. Catherine' by Correggio on behalf of a private owner. There is a copy in the Museum of Naples. The painting was sent to the Gallery for inspection. The offer subsequently declined and the painting returned.
