Collaboration in both teaching and scholarship is central to the National Gallery’s conception research. We work with research partners from across the museum and university sectors, as well as many collaborators from across the UK and around the world.
As part of a Collaborative Doctoral Partnership Consortium, the Gallery hosts a cohort of doctoral students funded by the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council.
Offered in collaboration with the Warburg Institute, this programme trains the next generation of art historians and museum curators interested in Renaissance culture.
Offered in collaboration with King’s College London, this programme enables students to work across disciplinary and specialist boundaries, exploring both the art-historical and theological dimensions of religious art.
