Saint Anne

Saint Anne is the patron saint of women in labour. She is also the patron saint of housewives.

Legend has it that Saint Anne and her husband Joachim were the Virgin Mary’s parents.

By bringing her daughter up to become a worthy mother of God, Saint Anne became associated with the best qualities of being a mother.
