Take One Picture 2025

Until 31 August 2025

See the painting 'The Courtyard of a House in Delft' by Pieter de Hooch through the eyes of a child.

Take One Picture is the National Gallery's programme for primary schools. Each year, children make and exhibit artworks in response to one painting in our collection.

This year’s painting, by 17th-century Dutch artist de Hooch, has inspired a wide range of projects, from wicker sculptures and cardboard houses to clay tiles and baked apple pies!

Presented across three sites in and around the National Gallery, this year's exhibition can be enjoyed as artwork displays and as a digital augmented reality trail.

Artwork by children aged 6–11 from Woodford Valley Primary Academy and Parkhill Junior School
