Welcome to the first wine tasting at Supporter's House, hosted by Martin Dibben, Head of Champagne and Wine for Searcy's.
Joining Dibben is special guest, Emanuele Barrasso, Antinori Brand Ambassador. The Antinori family has been dedicated to the art of winemaking for over six centuries, dating back to 1385 when Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined the the Florentine Winemakers’ Guild. Today, they own some of the most renowned wineries in Tuscany and Umbria, making tonight's event a true delight for wine enthusiasts.
Prepare to indulge in a tasting of six wines, each paired with a selection from our Italian cheese board. This evening promises to be a memorable journey through the rich history and exceptional flavours of Antinori wines.
Your host
Martin Dibben is Searcys' Head of Champagne responsible for the wine lists across Searcys’ portfolio whilst leading on Champagne experiences and masterclasses. With a hospitality career spanning 30 years, Dibben started in the Royal Household in the food department and then joined Prue Leith of 'Bake Off' fame for nine years, where he was promoted to Operations Director. In 1999, Dibben opened his restaurant Dibbens in Smithfield Market, with Zagat describing it as one of the best restaurants in the City.
He has since held the position of Operations Director at key venues across the capital, looking after some of London’s most iconic venues, including the Barbican, The Serpentine Gallery and the Historic Royal Palaces. Having graduated from L’Academie du Champagne in 2000, Dibben became its chairman in 2016. More recently, he was appointed Consul of the South of England for the Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne – the official guild representing the Champagne region.
