Eglon Hendrik van der Neer

1634? - 1703

Eglon Hendrik was born in Amsterdam, the son of Aert van der Neer, who taught him. He was also a pupil of Jacob van Loo. He worked chiefly in Amsterdam. From 1679 to 1689 he was in Brussels. In 1690 he became court painter to the Elector Palatine in Düsseldorf, where he lived for the rest of his life.
