Description

Shotover, College Avenue, Epsom. Brief mention of Ede's impending resignation from the Tate Gallery. Describes a visit, with Davies, to Buckingham Palace where Kenneth Clark and the Bernard Berenson 'menage' also arrived. Encloses two letters from Sir Robert Witt (17 and 23 Sep 1936), the first with a copy of a reply on the back, re Waterhouse's request for copies of photographs taken by Witt at Lady Burton's. Number 51 in pencil in upper right corner (the enclosures were previously numbered 47 and 48)
