Portrait of Jane Garnet Agnew and William Agnew
A framed black & white copy of the portrait of Jane Garnet Agnew and her son William (later Sir William Agnew, Bart.), by Samuel Reynolds. The label on the back of the frame records the following:
"Jane Garnet Agnew, daughter [and co-heir?] of William Lockett, and wife of Thomas Agnew of Eccles (son of John Agnew of Culhorn), married 1823 (died 1864). The boy is his eldest son William (Sir William Agnew Bart.) (1824-1910) and father of Sir George Agnew, Bart. and of Philip Leslie Agnew. From a portrait painted by Samuel Reynolds".
