Containing legal agreements (held within general Agreements Books and as single documents) between Thos. Agnew & Sons and their clients or partners in trade. There are also a number of agreements between directors of the firm, members of the wider Agnew family and solicitors concerning shares held and debts owed. The Agreements Books tend to include letters and formal entries recording the creation and copyright of publications, as well as delivery of orders of pictures, drawings, and prints.
