London Stock Book (Pictures, Drawings, Engravings and Ornaments)

This volume lists London stock (Jan 1891-Dec 1898) arranged by type, and appears to document those items which were transferred from another branch (for example, Manchester) and were then either sold or returned to the branch or original owner. Stock is arranged by date received and entries are listed in four categories: Pictures, Drawings, Engravings, and Ornaments. An index to the page number each category starts on is given on the first page. Each entry contains some or all of the following:

- Date received
- Stock number, Artist and Title
- Medium e.g. "before letters"; "artist's proof" (engravings only)
- Cost (usually left blank)
- Amount sold for
- Remarks (e.g. "returned")
- Date of action
