Letter regarding the potential purchase of pictures
|Date||30 Aug 1877|
Fairfax Murray refers to Burton's previous letter to him and responds by saying he will write to his friend Mr John Adams. He also writes about his interest in the following pictures of which there are two by Pesellino, a Filippino and a portrait by Pollaiuolo. He mentions there is a rival purchaser for the Lorenzetti; a Mr Keyser, employed as a copyist by the Arundel Society.
