Dirck Santvoort
1610/11 - 1680
He was the son of the painter Dirck Pietersz. Bontapaert; he and his brothers adopted the surname of Santvoort. He was born in Amsterdam, and apparently spent all his life there. His style was rather old-fashioned, although he occasionally shows signs of Rembrandt's influence. He was a portrait painter.
