How your support will help

The Gallery needs to raise one third of its annual budget to meet the significant costs of caring for the paintings and improving the collection and its display. We also provide a range of programmes and essential services for over four million visitors every year.

We depend on the support of individuals, corporate members, sponsors, trusts and foundations to help us to pay for the extensive costs of running this world-class Gallery.

While the Gallery is free to visit, we do ask all visitors to make a small voluntary contribution. Visitor donation boxes are in all the foyers of the National Gallery. Every pound really does make a difference.
