Organisational structure

The National Gallery employs over 500 staff in a wide range of capacities to care for the collection.

The Gallery is governed by the Board of Trustees who are appointed by the Prime Minister. The Director and Planning Group represent 19 departments, covering all aspects of the Gallery's work.
