Glues / adhesives
- Most dry pressure-sensitive adhesives adhesive tabs and tapes, e.g. Magic® tape (seek advice) Medium or hard charcoal
- Conté crayons (no softer than 2B)
- Watercolour pencils
- Pencils, crayons in their case
- Graphite sticks
- Ballpoint and Biro pens
- Non-permanent felt-tips
- Fountain pens – integral reservoir
Stationary type items
- Erasers (blocks)
- Barrel sharpeners (that collect sharpenings)
- Plastic rulers (up to 30 cm)
- Hole punches Pins (drawing/brass split)
- String and thread
- Scissors (small, round ended)
- Stapler and staples (boxed)
- Needles and cotton
- Card and paper (sheets, small rolls)
- Paper clips
Modelling materials and tools
- Dry modelling materials/ clay / Plasticine type
- Small modelling/ carving /craft tools (blunt only)
Permitted painting materials only for copyists with current permits
Paints
- Tubed oil paint
- Tubed acrylic paint
- Tubed watercolour paint
- Tubed gouache paint
- Watercolour paint - dry blocks
Solvents
- White spirit (up to 100 ml)*
- Turpentine (up to 100 ml)*
- Water (up to 100 ml in a plastic bottle with lid)*
*The solvent container/bottle must have a lid, must be kept closed at all times, and must be labelled with the appropriate hazard warning sticker that conforms with Health and safety regulations.
