Abstract

The article is concerned with the cleaning and technical examination of Corner of a Café-Concert ('The Waitress') by Edouard Manet. Comparisons are made with 'Au Café'. The evidence was found to be overwhelming that 'Au Café' and 'The Waitress' originally formed one picture.
