Detailing issues arising and correspondence received in the Director's absence. Corrections have been made to the catalogue regarding Benvenuto da Siena, and there has been a suggestion by H.M. Treasury that money be paid by the National Gallery for the funeral expenses of the late Mrs Ann Burden, formerly Assistant Housemaid at the Gallery.
