Description
From Hotel du Louvre Paris: Eastlake writes regarding hanging of the picture ascribed to Velazquez (NG741). Pinti has restored it. Eastlake gives his opinion on the picture. He hopes to buy at the Van Brienen sale: does not want the Both, nor the Hobbema, nor the Rembrandt head. He has viewed the Duc de Morny's pictures and will ask Mündler to bid at the sale. He mentions Mündler's accounts. Eastlake thinks he will still be able to buy the Moroni.
