Description
From Cologne: Eastlake repeats Valentini payment instructions. He gives details of negotiations with Vallati. In Paris, he failed to see pictures. He saw portraits by Rubens in Brussels and will view and offer for the Herr Schultze (Berlin) Patureau Hobbema (later acquired by Count de Mornay). Eastlake will go from Berlin to Posen to see a collection [Kilinski], to Dresden, Munich, and Milan. He wants to know about the alteration to the building.
