The ‘Raphael Digital Project’ (also known as the Mellon Digital Documentation Project) was a funded initiative to digitize and make publicly accessible extensive, previously internal, documentation on the ten paintings by Raphael in the Gallery’s collection.
The Reynolds Project was a collaborative research initiative by the Wallace Collection, London with the National Gallery, to study the materials and techniques of the 18th-century British artist Sir Joshua Reynolds to gain insights into Reynolds' complex painting techniques and their impact on the condition of his works.
