Mass

The Mass is the celebration of the Christian sacrament of the Eucharist, the act of communion between Christ and the Church. It is central to Roman Catholic liturgy. The Eucharist was instituted by Christ at the Last Supper.

'The Mass of Saint Giles' by the Master of Saint Giles shows the saint celebrating Mass in the presence of the emperor Charlemagne.
