The second annual Anna Jameson Lecture was delivered by Professor Hilary Fraser, Emerita Geoffrey Tillotson Chair of Nineteenth Century Studies at Birkbeck, University of London. As an expert on the Victorians and Renaissance Italy, where her interest in Anna Jameson began, Professor Fraser’s lecture addresses the part played by Jameson in the reception of Raphael’s work in the middle of the nineteenth century.
