New Perspectives

Our 'New Perspectives' film series brings to light new angles on Lucian Freud's work, looking beyond his fame and infamy, and focussing on the artist's uncompromising commitment to painting in the 20th century.

In this film, Paloma Alarcó, Chief Curator of Modern Painting at our exhibition partner, Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza, Madrid, takes a close look at three works from the museum's collection, now on display in 'The Credit Suisse Exhibition: Lucian Freud: New Perspectives', examining what the paintings reveal about Freud's artistic practice.
