About

'The Triumph of Art' by artist Jeremy Deller is a nationwide performance that finally rounds off our Bicentenary celebrations. It marks how festivals are part and parcel of art, culture and civic life, and that art and artists can be catalysts of collaboration and joy.

Following participatory public events produced in partnership with The Box, Plymouth, Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee, Mostyn Gallery Llandudno and The Playhouse in Derry-Londonderry, we take over Trafalgar Square for a free family friendly final event with contributions from all four nations.

'The Triumph of Art' is a celebration of art in all its forms and its role in society. Starting with a Bacchanalian procession, you will experience live music, performances, making workshops, opportunities to meet familiar faces from the Collection and a big birthday tea party.

Further details to be announced shortly.
