About

Reflect on ‘Waldmüller: Landscapes’ in the final week of this breathtaking exhibition.

Art historian and artist Aliki Braine leads this interactive online session. Join Aliki to pause, reflect and wonder at pictures alive with intense colour and light. See why Waldmüller’s work can be compared to the Pre-Raphaelites. Admire the precise brushstrokes which shape each leaf, twig and flower. Explore how he found beauty in nature’s imperfections, through his images of aged trunks and bare branches.

We invite you to share your experience of Waldmüller’s artwork, hear Aliki’s insights and reflect together.

About 'Reflecting on...'

'Reflecting on...’ celebrates our exhibition programme and your experience of this programme.

An art historian guides the session, highlighting key themes and artworks. You will also have the chance to contribute your own thoughts and reflections. Ask a final question about the exhibition, join the online conversation or take in what everyone else has to say.
