Join artist and writer Sheyamali for a lunchtime landscape sketching session inspired by artworks in the Gallery and the natural world.
The session will focus on noticing colour and form: the verdant greens of an arched hillside, the balmy blues of the sweeping country sky, the blackened outline of a knobbly tree.
For this sketching session, we recommend the following materials:
- A5 card or paper (4 sheets)
- Pencil
- Pastels, colour pencils, or markers
- Rubber
We also recommend bringing along some materials to inspire your forms: twigs, petals, flowers or even grasses.
You will have the opportunity to ask questions, share your sketches with others, and you will leave the session with a hand-drawn piece, ready to post to someone of your choice.
Workshop lead
