Niccolo di Liberatore

active about 1456; died 1502

Niccolò di Liberatore was from Foligno, where he worked. He also worked elsewhere in Umbria and in the Marches. He may have been taught by his father-in-law. Many signed and dated pictures exist. The earliest is apparently a copy of a picture by Benozzo. Later Niccolò seems to have absorbed some Venetian influence.
