Adding that the present Director of the National Gallery and his predecessor both consider the picture as worthy of a place in the National Gallery. Enclosed items include: extract from 1936 catalogue by Dr August L. Mayer and note of information respecting pictures in the Huth Collection attributed to Velazquez.
