Description
Inventories of manuscript letters from Eastlake and Seymour Kirkup to B.R. Haydon in the W.B. Pope Collection (Robertson has provided a brief summary of content against many of the Eastlake letters); photocopies of Eastlake's letters to Haydon (1815-1846), which Robertson has annotated with the corresponding volume and page numbers listed on the inventory; bibliographical notes. It seems likely that these photocopies were made for Robertson by the University of Vermont in Spring 1971 (see typescript accounts in NGA58/4/1).
[Willard Bissell Pope (1903-1988) was a professor of English at the University of Vermont. Frank Hermann drew Robertson's to the existence of sixty-seven Eastlake letters in Pope's ownership, see letter to Robertson, 22 Jan 1969, in NGA58/2/23.]
