Description
Eastlake recommends Mr Barker 'as a careful & conscientious restorer of pictures'. He says he would advise Lord Carlisle to employ Barker 'in preference to any other', if he were 'looking for any person to assist Mr Seguier'. He also reiterates that he has 'the utmost confidence in Mr Seguier and that where he is already employed & is enabled to undertake the work committed to him, I see no reason for his being superseded'. Includes envelope.
