Regards Rogers' fine drawing by Andrea del Sarto and relating a favourable anecdote about the artist by Michelangelo, quoting in the letter the original Italian text from Bocchi's 'Bellezze di Firenze'.
Includes catalogue description and compliments slip of Winifred Myers (Autographs) Ltd. (see also NGA58/2/51) and Robertson's research notes on Rogers' collection of drawings by Andrea del Sato and possible clues for dating the letter.
