Enquires discreetly whether [Joseph] Severn the painter has a son in his late teens as he has heard of 'a situation in a Government Office which might suit such a young man' given that he has been asked to 'point out the son of an artist "in difficulty"'. Proceeds to set out the requisit qualifications and asks for Richmond's opinion.
